Footwear: Born
I will try to explain the Born company a little bit. I have known of this shoe company for a long time because the first love of my life, when I was young and carefree and naïve about pain, was from Sweden. He wore Born shoes all the time, and, aside from looking good, they seemed to encompass his world very clearly.
Picture a place of color. People walk around in layers of it, keeping warm in true Scandinavian style. A rose sweater, a red corduroy skirt, orange tights and bright pink shoes on a woman walking toward you. A green argyle, a lavender scarf, brown pants and soft leather shoes on the man beside her. Life is to be expressed, feelings literally worn on the sleeve.
Born into the World
This world of self expression, of bright hues and original combinations, this is the world of Born. It is very clear that individuality is embraced, and that life is looked upon as bits of moments to be fully experienced. This is the feel that the company intends to convey. You can tell when you look at the striking advertising campaigns that you see probably more often than we know.
Born is a world of originality, but also of extreme comfort. No stitch is made without intention. No material is not thought through to the future it will see. When it is cold, the company will keep you warm. When you have miles to walk, your feet will be taken care of the whole way.
